New Vintage Tie Quilt

This was an estate sale purchase Bill brought home to me a few years ago as a surprise. It had a few construction errors namely a major curve to the finished top but I pulled it out of its box and decided to finish it. As you can see, it is made out of men's silk ties with a few polyester ones, too. The sheen is beautiful and he is thrilled with it as I have gifted it back to him! It is good to be done with painting for a while and to be in the sewing room again!

Here is a close-up of the fabric and the quilting. The overall size is 54" x 76"; just right for Bill's chair!
