Tiled........

I worked the rest of the wall and then added tile around the corner...
Hmmmm, it didn't look right.  So I Googled how to apply back splash tile at corners;  the consensus was to NEVER DO IT THIS WAY!
Okay.  I pulled back the 'around the corner' tiles and scrubbed the adhesive off the wall.
 Ahhh, yes;  much better!
Now on to the stove and baking counter area.  It went pretty quickly after I worked around the electrical boxes!  They were fiddly, but the tile and glass saw made it doable.  Never try to put up your own tile without one of these saws!  It cranks through ceramic and glass very easily.
Yes, I am so pleased with the results!   I have an appointment tomorrow so I won't be hitting the grout-trail until Friday.   (The day off will do me good, too!)
Bill finished the siding on the well house!  It is so nice to look out and see it finished!
I had one box of tile left over so we will be going back to the Floor Decor store for a return and then we will be purchasing tile to finish the chimney box!  I'm thinking beige ( like the house)  with some colored tiles scattered in randomly for a pop of color!  I am going to wait to see what they have before I get too specific on the design!
Now to the recliner for some down-time!  ( a new pair of socks for Matthew on the needles!)

  1. you've been busy - again! looks good, I like the colour, very summery! and fire time for us is practically all year round, or we'd have no warm water:) we rarely have days so warm that a warm oven isn't appreciated in the evenings... it should be called the cool isle, instead of emerald:)

  2. Great job! When I did a back splash I did wrap it around but I had to buy special end pieces to give it a finished look. Yours looks great as it is though. That is really beautiful tile. Mine was just plain white squares.
My...that sock looks interesting. That yarn is already doing something fancy!
