Shawl Hurrah!

I finished the knitting on the Seychelles She'll and since it is beautiful out, we got it right outside to block and dry!
Lace is so much prettier when it gets blocked, I know this but is a great surprise every time!
There is even some bling along the bottom edge!  This shawl was done very differently from my usual styles and it is good to stretch my needles in a new direction this time.
(I didn't end the top edge according to directions - I didn't like the beads up there.)

  1. Gorgeous!
I did not like the top either and improvised mine. I think a light color shows off the design better.
It really is a brilliant pattern isn't it? No one can believe how simple a pattern it is. It's a very painless project for such a beautiful outcome.

  2. lovely shawl - and beautiful "sea" colour! and I don't like beads along my neck either - they always feel cold and somehow "alien", I think!

  3. Wow! It's beautiful. I would like to try the pattern. Where can I find it? I'm flying out to KY tomorrow to visit family, Pat and Duffy are staying home playing bachelor for two weeks. I may see Basically Benita at the Kentucky Sheep and Fiber Festival May 16 if family obligations don't get in the way.

  5. Lovely pattern, great colour choice, gorgeous shawl. And, yes, it's good to keep stretching ourselves.
