Finishes and Feline!

Shorty sock number one off the needles.
This style is still dubious to me but I am going to give it a try.
 The design wall is completed!
It is such a wonderful space calling for quilt blocks and ideas and incredible quilts to come!
Each edge is wrapped and tucked so it is like a great big canvas waiting for me to fill it with color!
Tools of my job this afternoon!
I Swiffered the floor under the frame where all the spray adhesive had fallen;  the good news is that it all came up easily!
I placed the last projects that were up before the remodel and placed that back on the wall;  just right!
(One nice advantage now is that I can pin into the foam board which I couldn't do before.)
I can sure appreciate the clean lines and years of creativity this wall will see!
Lena helped and sniffed at each move as usual but all this work was very tiring...
in fact, it was just a matter of minutes and this little face was sound asleep!

  1. She's a tiny little peanut, isn't she! She could NOT be cuter. I'm so glad she found a happy home, even IF the start was pretty shaky.

  2. Wait, are you actually going to try wearing a short sock?! I think I might faint! 😉 It is a nice option when you just need to keep your toes warm, or on days where a full cuff feels like overstimulation on aggravated legs/skin.

The design wall is just beautiful and even through a blog picture, I can hear it calling for creativity to blossom on it!

That is a frame-worthy picture of Lena's sweet face.

  3. What could be more inviting than a fresh new design wall just waiting for blocks to hold. Looks like you got started filling it up right away.

  5. I love your design wall. I really need to make myself one too. It's so much easier to see your progress when the quilt blocks are on a wall.

  12. That new wall is to die for! Daddio and I used a couple of yards of felt pinned to a wall and it was a real pain to pin everything to it not to mention the sag.
Little Lena is the cutest thing ever. What a sweet little face!

  13. I see you you own a "world's most expensive cat hammock"...little Lena looks to be doing the same as my kitties on the longarm...no leaving quilts overnight! The design wall is great - I'm a little jealous, as I don't have a good wall to use. And the purple blocks look great!

  16. LOVE your shorty socks. So fun in this wintery gray overcast time. I love shorty socks. You can make more with them or do baby socks with the leftovers. Very nice!

  17. Cindy, I had no idea you're a longarmer! So glad Pat asked about your blog name again so I could catch up as well. Love the blocks your doing and the new design wall! A good wall is crucial to your creativity! So much easier than pinning here and there on a small wall but way better than using the floor!
