ROAD BLOCKS

Our Ruby Red Grapefruits are ripe!!!  If eating healthy fruits and veggies will help me feel well, I should be able to run a marathon pretty soon!  It was delicious and the good news-
I get to eat the other half at lunch tomorrow!
Last week, I added another row to the apple core quilt
when this happened...
....my iron died!
This is my second one and I have thoroughly enjoyed
the ease of a cordless iron, however,
the price has gone up considerably.
(name something that hasn't!)
 So I ordered a different brand-it looks very futuristic;
I hope to be upright soon to try it out on its maiden voyage!

  1. That’s sad! I have noticed lately that mine is taking longer and longer to fully heat between passes…I’m afraid it might be nearing the end of its useful life, too. I still don’t enjoy grapefruit, but maybe someday?!

  2. I recently bought a new iron too - but I went with a fairly cheap version because I have a bad habit of dropping them!

  4. Oh, yum! I haven't had a good grapefruit in ages and that one looks so good.
Sorry about the iron. I've been loving my itty bitty iron. Who would have thought that something so small would work so well.

  5. Oooh, that grapefruit looks delicious. I love grapefruit and I hope that you will soon be completely well and ready to take your iron on it's test drive. I still have one with a cord but I don't use mine nearly as much as I imagine you do.
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  6. Ruby Red Grapefruit is delicious, but sadly it doesn’t react well with one of my medications. Hope the new iron is a good one.

  7. YUM! One of the things I do miss about Florida .......fresh citrus. Our neighbor let us pick from his trees (Ruby Reds and Navals).

Isn't it crazy about prices. Our sofa broke the other day and we thought maybe it would be a time to get a new one. The sofa has to be over 15 years old, probably closer to 20. Well, one look at the prices and we came home and fixed the old one. The sofa I liked was $7,000 and we'd need a matching love seat. Thankfully, I LOVE our sofa. It still looks good and hopefully our "fix" will hold.
