Tuesday, I had to go in for a CT scan and an ultrasound to see why there is such a problem with my bladder. I had to fast for these tests, so by the time I got in finally, I was a bit shaky. I did alright during the CT but the contrast made me even more unsteady. Not to mention the problem getting the IV to work.
I was done in by the time I got home and I went right to bed.
I was still 'off' yesterday, but did make the binding for the small rail fence quilt. Bill was in the studio with me as a repair man-- our washer quit and he spent Monday trying to repair it, ordered a new part and decided that it was a no-go after all. He had a 'spare' old washer in a shed (we have seven)
and so he was installing it while I sewed. He even did a very good job of picking up when he was done! After all that, we did decide that it was time to go ahead and order a new stackable washer/dryer to install in our large kitchen pantry, so that will be a big project for next week; getting all of the prep work done I mean! Think plumbing, drains, and ripping out shelves
It will eventually be a win-win.
I LOVE my stackable washer/dryer and now have a lot more storage in my laundry 'closet'. You will love it!! Keep us posted, and rest up!! xo
ReplyDeleteI have a stackable washer and dryer. It kills my shoulders to take the wash and put it up van the dryer. Wouldn’t go that model again.
ReplyDeleteOuf...those tests sound brutal. When I was diagnosed with IC I had a bladder test that was so painful it sent me to Urgent Care that night for pain meds. UT issues are no joke. Hope you are better today.
ReplyDeleteThat will be so convenient. One of the things I really love about this house is that the washer and dryer are in the primary bedroom's bath. They are full size stackables ---- just a perfect set up for us.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with all your prep work and I hope today you are feeling much better.
Annoying when something intended to help you wears you out.
ReplyDeleteI had to fast for blood work, it had been too long since my last dr visit. But at least my appt was at 7:20 so I was able to grab donuts and a Mt Dew afterwards. LOL what a good breakfast that was NOT! Lovely finish.
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel lots better now! Nice quilt! ( I can relate as I just had surgery for a gallstone and didn't eat from Tuesday-Saturday. Not fun!)
ReplyDeletePretty quilt. It sounds like we've both had quite a week. I had 12 vials of blood taken this morning and they had to poke me 4 times because it kept stopping on them. Next Wednesday I have a CT scan with contrast but they didn't say anything about fasting so I probably should double check. If I don't, I'll do the wrong thing. :-) This is to check on a nodule found on my adrenal gland. I had a 12 inch mass removed from my colon on Tuesday in a 3 hour surgery and I was sent home that afternoon! I think they shuffle us out way too fast these days. The surgeon actually called me to check on me, not her nurse. She had wanted to keep me overnight because she wanted to keep an eye out for possible perforation but insurance said nope. So she called to check on me. Twice. She'll do another check in 6 months, so another lovely prep.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, we're both still here aren't we? That's a good thing. At least until Jesus returns or we're called home to Heaven.
Blessings and love,
Betsy
