GENTLE STITCHING

A bit of fun sewing happened yesterday; a 9 x 10" zippered pouch resulted!  I added a little Seminole piecing to the front and back and a even a tassel for a zipper pull.
It is quilted which gives it good body.
It is lined with a pretty lilac fabric.
I did forget to check one thing when I stitched the sides....
I didn't match the two bands of piecing!
Humility is good for all of us, isn't it?!

  1. I think the bag is beautiful, and unique! Even with it's little flaw, it has character and charm! I keep looking for the "Seminole" piecing, but don't see anything resembling The Florida State Seminoles. LOL. I guess that kind of "Seminole" piecing must mean something else. Here in Florida we have to explain what we mean when we discuss Seminoles and Gators. LOL. I do hope you are feeling better today. (((HUGS)))

  3. It's such a lovely little bag. The colors and the pattern are great. Doesn't need to be "perfect" to serve its purpose. :)

  4. The bag is lovely and I’d rather you have a “humility block” in the side seam of your bag than in the front of your current QOV! :) -Marsel

  5. Or, nobody will notice that the bands don't match! Well, unless they are quilters! It sure looks good though.

  6. I love it! Some of my favorite colors. No one will notice that tiny "flaw" if it's not pointed out. :-)
