ALL IN A DAY

First thing yesterday morning, I finished cleaning out the good and the bad pieces of wood and didn't I drop on which kicked out another piece which almost took me out!  It is mostly just a bad scrape and after a good cleaning out, I decided to head to the studio for some less dangerous work!!!
This is fabrics from the latest FatQuarterClub at my local quilt store, it is so very classy!!!  (I am going to cut out the fabric from last month's selection and use the pattern again for a Christmas one!)  It measures  15" x 40".
And after that satisfying morning, DH asked me to go one last time to look at this vehicle.  Suffice it to say he loves wheeling and dealing and I DO NOT!  7 hours later, we drove it home.  I will be more excited about it when I recover from the mind numbing experience of spending a Friday night at a dealership!

  1. Of all the things in the world to do .......car shopping is my least favorite thing. UGH! (I think that is why I still drive my 16-yr old Subaru). It looks like you got a very nice car though. Best wishes for many happy drives!

  2. In order: OUCH! Gold and black is my favorite color combination. My father was a bit of a wheeler dealer; he had new cars surprisingly often.

  3. That's a nasty scrape. When I look at that giant pile we have to clear I'm wondering how I'm going to survive it.
That runner is classy. It reminds me of New Year's.
I hate the whole car dealership too. The Mister thinks of it like a sporting event. I always pack a lot of knitting. Dad's last car was an Explorer. I loved that thing. I wish I'd hung onto it but I couldn't have him driving in his state anymore.

  5. Ouch! That does look painful. You do get into some awful scrapes don't you? :-)That diamond fabric is stunning. And your new car is beautiful. Dennis is s definite Ford guy. He has an F350 diesel and I've thought about an explorer for my next car. You'll have to let us know how you like it.
    Blessings and hugs,
    Betsy

  6. Ouch!! I bet that hurts. We are doing the new car thing on Wednesday. Hubster has a connection who is supposed to do the wheelin' and dealin' for us. I hate being with H when he does it, so I won't mind letting Carson do it. LOL!

  7. Ouch! I am still recovering from a garden decoration I walked into at the end of October. Ended up with a couple of cuts and big bruise on my shin!

Dave and I view vehicle buying so differently. He wants to go an look at a million cars, then think about each one for a week. I do all my "looking" online - hone in on only the ones I'm serious about - then look at them in person with the intention of buying one that day. He was floored that I was ready to buy the Jeep right away... to him it was the first one we looked at and he kept asking my why I didn't want to drive around and look at more. I already looked at them all online and ruled them out! The only way I'd look at another one was if he could give me one good reason not to buy the first one (ie catastrophic issue)

  8. Love your new car! We did that recently as well, and I know exactly how you feel. I'm glad we did get a newer to us vehicle, but it was a trial getting through all the details/paperwork, etc. Love that fabric. I just read your newer posts about it. Take care my friend.
