When I was traveling, I just put the sleeve stitches on yarn and knit around and around for the body. Now that I am finished with the ribbing, I have to make the sleeves with the whole weight of the sweater on my lap. I have found that if I remember, I can knit around and the sleeve and then just rotate the sleeve to continue without turning the whole pile around! Why have I never thought of this before?!?! It makes the whole process much more efficient.
I will be finishing the sweater this week, I'm pretty sure!
I go through that learning curve with sleeves every time I do a top down sweater. I was just debating whether I should knit the sleeves on Chestnut separately or try to knit them onto the body by picking up the stitches after steeking. Jury is still out.
