A GOOD DAY

Yesterday, I had a lovely lunch with friends at Corky Bell's!
At home, I finished stitching the last of the blocks into 3 1/2 rows--more yarn has been ordered!
And for the first time, we had a turkey vulture eating from the crows dish at the top of our feeder cover!  He emptied the bowl over 15 minutes and flew off --sorry crows, he got it all!

  3. Great photo of you!
We noticed that the suet blocks we put out were disappearing at an alarming rate. Then I noticed that the baby black vultures were eating them. I was not amused. They get cans of cat and dog food whenever they come knocking so they need to leave the little birdies food alone.

  4. Lots of turkey vultures here. They are huge! And the sound their wings make when they take off is scary and impressive.

  5. OH Corky Bells! You were at my favorite place! I do hope we can actually meet sometime in the New Year! That would be a good place to meet! I do hope you will have a blessed and peaceful New Year. Are those pictures on your page of tangerines/tangelos in your yard? Just wondering. I am in search of some good Florida grapefruit and/or navel oranges or regular oranges. They are SO hard to find up here in this part of the state. Do you know where they sell any Florida citrus in our area?
Those turkey vultures are sure ugly creatures, but they do serve a purpose!! They keep the roads clean of roadkill!
    Okay again, Happy New Year!
