GEORGIA HOME AND YARD

Bill usually does some intense trimming while we visit--this time,
it was a much needed taming for the butterfly bush!
It is magnificent but out of control, so-
He gave it a good trimming and with the whole growing season before us, it will just continue to bloom and attract bees and butterflies all summer!
Bill also weeded the flowers along the back side of the house which is our apartment view.
Lena especially loves the bird feeder entertainment!
After dinner, I enjoyed some crochet with my daughter's cat sleeping near my feet on the recliner.
I have crocheted the C2C this far, about 3/4 of the way done and I ran out of yarn!  I made this a lot bigger than the other one but it is very cozy now at 36" x 48".  It's a good thing it is a standard stock at WalMart so I will pick some up tomorrow!

  1. I'm guessing the kids love to have you visit. I spy a spinning wheel in one photo. I still miss mine but my back doesn't like sitting at a wheel for hours like I used to. That blanket is gorgeous and I'm so glad that you can easily get more yarn.
    Blessings and hugs,
    Betsy

  2. I had to look twice at the cat between your knees on the recliner! That is exactly how my Casper spends our evenings!! Love it!

  3. This far north, our butterfly bushes die right back to the ground. Once I see new growth at the base, I cut off all the old stuff. They grow back just as big each year it's amzing!
Your daughters cat looks like Furby!

  5. I could use someone like Bill around here. Trimming and weeding are an art form.

  6. Sounds like you are having a good visit. How does Lena feel about you having another cat on your lap?

  7. Nothing better than snuggling with a warm sleepy cat. Looks like you're enjoying your visit to Georgia.
