HumptyDumpty

 I'm taking along these newly machine knit pieces
(all together, I've knit 2 right fronts, 1 left front, a back and 4 sleeves!)
to sew together and then pick up and hand knit the ribbing
 all around the front, neck and bottom to make this little cropped baby sweater,
at the hospital where Bill will be having his fourth surgery on that staph infected elbow!
Today they are grafting a skin flap to cover the wound
 and give the fragile elbow skin some beefing up
so he won't rip it open when he can start to move around again in 4-6 weeks!

Outlook

 I know so many of you know what it is like to sit with a loved one in the hospital.
During a T-storm no less.  It had cleared off mostly, when I left.
Surgery number 3 transpired just before I arrived.
We are praying for a homerun this time!
I did a little knitting on the red dishcloth while Bill dozed.
I doubled the size of the 'woven strands' for the red one--
this is actually how the pattern from Kathy B is written.
Here is Stormy-not usually photogenic but she is worried that Bill is gone
and so she won't leave my side-which is not how she usually rolls.
We all have to weather this together little cross-eyed old girl!

Hospital Time

I'm sitting in the hospital waiting room today;
 Bill is requiring surgery once again-
this time to 'neaten' up his open wound on his elbow and to stitch it closed.
 No more wound-vac or nurse visits--
the end of this 2 month chapter is almost over!
There are only two weeks of not using his arm and then the stitches come out;  meantime we can be grateful he still has his arm and his life!  What an adventure!

I'm late to the poem in your pocket day

but here was what was on my mind all day:

Ecclesiastes 3 English Standard Version (ESV)

A Time for Everything

For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:
a time to be born, and a time to die;
a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;
a time to kill, and a time to heal;
a time to break down, and a time to build up;
a time to weep, and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together;
a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
a time to seek, and a time to lose;
a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
a time to tear, and a time to sew;
a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
a time to love, and a time to hate;
a time for war, and a time for peace.

Here is my waiting room knitting!

A DAB OF PAINT

  I am enjoying the acrylic paint-by-number projects.   As with most things, the second one (the bottom one)  was much easier to do;  I have...
