FRESH AIR

Just before lunch yesterday, I took a walk around the driveway loop;  it was 62*F and there was such warmth in the sunshine!
Bill pulled a chair out for me and I ate my lunch right here!
 It was wonderful!
Lena was happy to be with me outside;
 she even walked around the loop with me!
She took a bit of a wash--
and then a good roll!
No, I didn't sew all of these blocks but after a good long rest,
I did sew the bottom left blue one--finally!

(I am back on an antibiotic which is giving me the boost I needed to fight the swollen tonsils and pneumonia in one lung.  My body has been working so hard to fight the Covid, it got overwhelmed!)

FINDING NEW ACTIVITIES

Since there was little to do in the house,
 I went in search of easy jobs in the front yard.
  I did enjoy a new azalea bush coming to color!
And the last camellia bush is finally blooming!
 We picked up and removed tons of items-me of minor assistance and Bill doing the bulk of the work.
 It was nice to be outside anyway
because It was sunny and pleasant 67*.
After dinner, the cats all congregated in the living room.
  This is highly unusual as the 'girls' have a tenuous relationship
 to put it mildly.

The reason for this truce;
Bill built a fire because our nights have been in the 40's
which is cool for us.
The cats are drawn to it like moths to a light!

Blue Violet

 It starts with a gift of a pair of mitts from a dear friend who is moving next week....she wanted me to have something to remember her by.  (memories are the best but since she is a knitting friend, this counts!)
 And she gifted me the pattern.
So I caked up my new skein from Wandering Cat Yarns and headed out to the sunshine
 with my tornadoes!
I didn't get  lot done but I did sit in the warmth and knit!  It was glorious!

PIVOT OVERLOAD!

I did manage to applique all of the blocks yesterday-- I use a small (2.0mm) zig zag with invisible thread  to secure all of the raw edges. ...
