The humidity let go and I was able to take a walk after dinner.
My Muscadine grapevine produced no fruit sadly
but does form a beautiful arch for the setting sun!
The mystery 'bush' at 10' tall is blooming!
I still can't find a name to put to it!
The area on the end of the stalk is 18" of flower!  They are so delicate and dance in the wind!  And the beauty continues because these will all become large blue 'bulbs' tight to the stem.
I will keep my eye out so I don't miss it!
The path invites you to come around the corner
and see what's new at the pond.
And today, it was a Lesser Blue Heron (Egretta Caerulea).

I wish the humidity would let go here. It's cooled off but it's still sticky. That grapevine photo is lovely. Back in the day I had a concord grape vine in the yard of my old house. Making jelly in the fall was a tradition I miss.
ReplyDeleteCould your mystery plant be this one: https://toptropicals.com/catalog/image/9/clerodendrum_sahelangii.htm
ReplyDeleteWhatever it is, it is beautiful.
Oh, muscadines... They remind me of my grandfather.
ReplyDeleteI'm still pretty sure your garden is some magical fairy land!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteOh so nice - and less humidity - lovely!
ReplyDeleteI tried my LENS app and it says your plant might be Euphorbia characias. I'll leave it to you to look it up! LOL Loved your photos and sorry to be late getting to your posts! xo
ReplyDeleteA nice little walk. Although the temperatures are slowly coming down here, it is still hot during the day and has been humid lately. I came home from my evening walk last night with sweat streaming down my face. :/
