A NICE DECEMBER KICK-OFF!

It sure felt good to feel like my old self yesterday!  I did chores and cleaning and filled the bird feeders.  I cut some the last log up and took care of that and even cleaned up the sawdust!  I was anxious to get inside and do some sewing!    I finally stitched the borders on the r/w/b quilt and ordered fabric for a backing for it;  I can't load it on the frame until I get that backing!  See that blank design wall?  That doesn't happen very often but I was excited to do some piecing  and fill it with a new top.

I cut up a jelly roll and some contrasting strips for the new rendition of the Contessa pattern by Barbara Groves for Moda.
And I even pieced one block before it was time to fold a load of laundry!  A good day indeed!
You can guess what I will be doing today!

  5. You sure did a LOT! Don't overdo though and be back to square one. Ask me how I know that happens! That block is beautiful. The colors look like spring to me and I can use that with all of the white around here.
    Blessings and hugs,

  9. You really have quite the amazing set up for quilting, etc. I didn't know you were such a multi-talented person! I love the colors in this. I am glad you are able to do these things. I never learned how to quilt or crochet or knit, and my sewing is minimal. I don't have a good sewing machine anymore, so I get very frustrated whenever I try to do anything. I will just admire the beauty of the things you do!! Thanks for sharing.
