It's like this in my yard--trying to protect sensitive plants as best we can when we have such low temps!
I made two crazy patch tops for my pillows that needed a perk. I hope to turn them into the actual pillow covers today!
I am playing with a skein of Simply Cotton by KnitPicks. It is a nice cotton to work with!
I do love a good crazy quilt block!
ReplyDeleteYour pillow tops remind me of when we lived adjacent to the wilderness park in Orlando. They are swampy colors in the very BEST way!!!
ReplyDeleteI read it was supposed to be very cold in Florida. It is snowing like crazy right now here. We were supposed to get "a dusting". Looks like it is going to be quite a bit more than that. Wouldn't you know ..... we are supposed to go to a concert tonight. (First time in about 20 years.)
I see Lena is staying inside where it is warm. Smart girl!
Your pillow tops are stunning! How do you put all of those strange shaped pieces together and get a square. It's beyond me! It's very, very cold here too. We were well below zero last night. I'm ready for spring but not the humidity of summer. I guess I'm just never happy. Ha!
ReplyDeleteBlessings and hugs,
Betsy
I always forget to cover my sensitive plants in the cold and end up losing them.. so good job! What are you knitting with that lovely cotton? xx
ReplyDeleteYes, our plants have had to stay covered for a while now...I'm not sure it has helped, but hopefully at least the roots are saved. This is a crazy cold winter for us!
