This hasn't happened in a very long time---
a cat divot in my TAUT quilt layers on the frame!!!
Since I hadn't started any quilting on it yet, it wasn't a big deal to fix it but it doesn't bode well for future projects!!!
I worked all day but got the quilting done, applied the binding and even sewed the QOV label on the back!
And then before I could drop, I loaded the second QOV that needed to be quilted. I hope to work on it when I get back from getting my x-rays that didn't happen on Friday! (Bill dropped me off, I waited in line to sign in and was told that they were so backed up they couldn't get to me so could I please come back on Monday! A quick call to Bill and he came back and rescued me!)
I'm glad the issue didn't cause a bigger problem. The quilt turned out great. A line for X rays doesn't bode well either. I'm hoping it's not all chest scans for pneumonia. The way my lungs feel this morning is worrying me. I haven't been sick in ages so I'm hoping I'm just being a big baby...lol.
ReplyDeleteI mean - a quilt on the frame really is the perfect cat hammock!
ReplyDeleteDo you do the whole quilt from start to finish? My sister did the patchwork, but sent it to someone else to do the quilting and binding.
ReplyDeleteI guess she won't be doing quilting anymore. She had a stroke last Monday night. She is in Leesburg hospital and I'm not sure when she will get out, but will go to the new rehab center in The Villages. Hoping for the best, but knowing the path back is going to be long.
Lovely finish! And I bet that divot was a sweet find, if not a small inconvenience. Even your cat adores your quilting! LOL
ReplyDelete"Cat divot" is so funny!
ReplyDeleteI hope your x-ray experience is better today.
Good job on getting it quilted despite "help" from Lena!!!! It's is just beautiful and so is the next one you loaded! xx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful finish and love the one on the frame now too. Sorry about your appointment. Dennis made me go to urgent care yesterday for my cough since it's been almost two weeks and I'm still hacking up a lung. I didn't want to go and get exposed to more germs but I was the only one there. Apparently they had been swamped ALL day Saturday and all morning yesterday. I chose the exact right time. It's bronchitis and I now for have an inhaler and antibiotics for that. Oh goody.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and hugs,
Betsy
Naughty Lena…I’m sure she was very sorry…ha! -Marsel
ReplyDeleteLena was just trying to help! The quilt turned out great.

ReplyDeleteYour quilts are so beautiful! Wow!!! Amazing work! Your kitty just wanted to leave a good impression in your work. LOL. And boo on the back up at the xray place. Glad Bill wasn't too far away to come back and rescue you!
