First, a new pair of socks because I love to make them, not out of the necessity of wardrobe but only of the making!
This is the new yarn I bought at the yarn shop in Jax I visited in March. I'm just getting around to using it!
I chose this skein I received in December to make my favorite shawl pattern--Twilight Sonata by Kay Meadors. It is a crescent shaped shawl with a large lacy hem which includes beads.
This yarn is Stroll in the Red Wing Blackbird colorway--which is perfect because I enjoyed seeing and hearing them when I visited Mom and Dad; it's a going to make this a 'good memory' shawl!
And lastly, I pick up my G-hook for another Granny Square rectangle blanket from Lion Brand Mandala yarn.
I knit socks out of the Red Winged Blackbird yarn - such a pretty yarn!
ReplyDeleteReminds me, I need to get another shawl on my needles! They are empty. The first and last shawl I beaded was Swallowtail, but I adore that shawl, the beading, not so much. LOL. Lots of lovely things to keep you busy when Lena holds you in a chair.
ReplyDeleteI've eyed that red-winged blackbird yarn many times. Their sound always makes me think of childhood. We had a bit of marsh right across the road from our house, so we'd hear them often.
ReplyDeleteI just saw my first red winged blackbird down by the docks. They nest in the wetlands here.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful projects!! I am always so impressed. xo
ReplyDeleteThose are all beautiful projects. I need to get another shawl on the hook for the hospital. I finished one on Thursday night but have spent the last couple of days with an embroidery project. Maybe I'll pull out some yarn tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and hugs,
Betsy
