SETTLING BACK INTO MY WORLD

Someone (Lena) kept asking me to make a 'lap' for her
and I finally gave in--we savored an hour together!
And then I played in the studio with the latest Fat Quarter Club that arrived in the mail! I enjoyed a beautiful time playing with the strips of fabric to make a good fade table runner!
And then I finished the pair of socks I was knitting on the airplane! It's Stroll Handpaint in 'Left of the Dial' colorway.
Though the second sock ( on the left) pooled very differently from the first sock and I might just rip the leg out and do it again to force the yarn to make a similar pattern to the one on the right!!!!

  1. Happy Lena! That’s a cool Aztec pattern on the one sock but it would be much easier to replicate stripes than that! -Marsel

  2. I like that the socks look different than each other...but that's me. I'm not a matchy-matchy person. Sweet kitty!!

  3. Lena looks so happy!
I had a pair of Strolls do that to me too. I had to redo them with a different needle size to cut that pooling down to size. I wouldn't have bothered but they were a gift.

  4. The table runner is so bright and happy. Tap definitely knows the word "lap."

  5. Our furbabies miss us when we are gone (for more than 10 minutes!)! I like the colors in the table runner, and I think the socks would be fine just the way they are. Welcome home!!

  6. Rosie isn't much of a lap kitty but she does lay right beside me most evenings. The socks are nice -- I have a thing for things that don't exactly match.

  8. Awww, Lena definitely missed her Mama. I'm sure she's very happy that you're home again. Love the socks although I can never quite figure it out when yarn does two completely different patterns like that.
    Blessings and hugs,
    Betsy

  10. It always blows my mind when sock yarn goes differently from one sock to the other.
Lena looks happy to have you back!
