SECOND DAY ABOUT HOME!

I stopped knitting this sweater when we got home from Washington but pulled it out and finished it over the last few days!  It is laid out for blocking
(it's wet-there is no stain on the front!)
and I will be wearing it soon since it is cotton!
Against all odds lately with me and sweater knitting not having a high success rate*, this one fits beautifully!
I have the last coat of shellac on the large Hickory bowl and  Monday I will be turning it around on the lathe to hollow out the inside!  Always a good turning point!
*speaking of a low success rate, this sweater from a different pattern in a solid worsted weight yarn looks horrid where the increases are on the yoke.  I am in the process of ripping it out.  I am not sure what I am going to do with it.  I do prefer my sweaters knit form sock yarn or DK weight not worsted.

I will start a new pair of socks on the car ride today because we are on heading up to see our grand daughter's baptizism at her church in Fernandina Beach!

 A road trip!

Sweater Weather

I loaded up the table runner and worked from the middle for this because I wanted orange for the quilting thread for the leaves, white for the background stippling
and then I will use green thread for the borders.
It is pleasant work but I can stand only so long
so there are a lot of rests in between quilting spurts!
I got to wear my new sweater-it was very comfortable!
I liked the way the side splits and didn't hug my belly!
Yes, I will make this sweater again!

It's a Wrap-Completely Finished

The buttons and buttonholes were accomplished without drama.
The rhinestone buttons really add to the dress so it isn't too plain.
The best news is I delivered it last night and it fits!
She couldn't believe I also included this-who knew it was popular again!?
And this is what I wore to the party last night-
it was so soft and warm;  no layering was needed.
It was the perfect sweatshirt feel!
(I bravely tossed the sweater into the washer on handwash and then into the dryer it went;
nothing like LionBrand WoolEase yarn.)
Here is the out take--Nyki had to photo bomb me as the cell ph clicked!

I will be sewing the mystery HST's together today and making a hat on the knitting machine!

A GOOD DAY TO STITCH WITH FRIENDS

I had a great time at QOV (quilts of valor) sew day yesterday;   I even came home with some 'homework'!   This is a pile of 3 1/2...
