This vine is growing through the 70-80' tall pines near Mary's home- and it is blooming all the way from the top to this part that hung down to the ground where I could get my picture! It is called a fire vine! As I came down the street toward the tree, I thought the tree was covered with a vine of colored leaves that the freeze had created. What a surprise when I drove close enough to see it wasn't leaves but a heavy cover of flowers!!!!
I had a busy day yesterday, my friend, Mary, went with me to grab a bit of shopping and then to a rather involved doctor's appointment. I was sure the appt was going to be a waste of time but I was wrong! She was smart and thorough and willing to get to the source of my UTI's. I have a battery of tests ahead but they will give us direction for solving this pain!
Mary and I enjoyed a relaxing lunch after the doctor's and mulled all I learned.
It was also the one year anniversary to Ethan's death.
Mary is the best kind of friend, one who doesn't have to talk but just puts her arm around you and shares the sorrow.
I hope to enjoy some sewing today and I might even finish the latest project on the lathe!
That vine is gorgeous! Glad you could have a day out with a friend and maybe will be getting some medical answers!
ReplyDeleteI went through that miserable, continuous UTI stuff about 10 years ago and it turned out that I have Interstitial Cystitis which is an auto immune issue. I have a long list of things I cannot eat or drink anymore. I try to be careful but every once in a while I test my limits and then go into a flare and ouf....it's bad for weeks. I don't wish that pain on anyone.
ReplyDeleteSending you hugs!
ReplyDeleteThe vine is gorgeous! Everything here is buried under snow right now!
Friends like that are true gifts from God. So glad she is there for you.
ReplyDeleteSending hugs. Those kinds of anniversaries are so hard.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that you have a friend like Mary. They give comfort without needing words. I'm sending huge hugs to all in your family.
ReplyDeleteThat vine is stunning. I've never seen anything like it.
Blessings and hugs,
Betsy
I am glad you are getting some answers regarding the UTIs and like the doctor. Trusting your doctor is half the battle, I think. Looking forward to seeing your next project!! xo
ReplyDelete(((HUGS))). I am glad that you have Mary for your friend. She does sound like exactly the right kind of friend to have. What a blessing. And that fire vine is gorgeous. Another gift to you on that particular day. I love how God does that. He knows exactly what we need. Also, I pray the help with the UTI's will really help. I know how miserable they are. Since I started taking the Vitamin C 1000 mg. a day I have not had another one, which is a blessing.
