This is first pbn that I am not happy with the outcome. I don't know what the gold globs are supposed to be on each side of the ship and I don't like the 'monster' holding a gun rising up on the right! So I am going to do a major touch-up on the background and foreground of this picture. I hope to show it to you in its improved condition next week!

SOCKS ON SUNDAY
Why do I usually post socks on Sundays? Because that is what I knit on the way to church each week during our 35-40 minute drive! I finis...

I like it very much. It's moody, kind of heart-stopping. I am sorry you aren't pleased.
ReplyDeleteYour description made me laugh! The Mister is working on a sailboat PbN that the Grands gave him for his birthday and he's not having much fun with it either. I have to agree with KSD, I like it too but now can't unsee the "monster"...lol.
ReplyDeleteI didn't see the monster, until you mentioned it. LOL I haven't done a PBN in a long time, but used to love them.
ReplyDeleteI think they are supposed to be rocks... I think they look good, but I know how it is when you feel it's not quite right
ReplyDeleteI like your painting but look forward to what you do with it. I would hang it up just as it is!! xo
ReplyDeleteI think from a distance it looks good. Close up it probably looks like you describe. Ha! I know whatever you do to it with your magical brush will make it look better.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and hugs,
Betsy
I can't believe that's a PBN. It looks like an oil painting. I can understand why you might want to improve some parts. Artists usually keep layering until they get what they truly believe is a finished piece.
ReplyDeleteAs others have already said, I didn’t see it at first, but now that I’ve seen it, I can’t unsee it! lol. A fun challenge to tweak it until you like it! -Marsel
ReplyDeleteI admire anyone who paints. I like it, but if desire to make changes, doing so will make you enjoy it more.
ReplyDeleteWhat about the smiley face on the front of the boat with the eye right above the grin?🤣🤣🤣🤣
