After Company Slump

It has been quite a fast pace around here for the last ten days so it has been lumpy here for Bill and I. (Think maybe recuperation-mode compounded with the lonelies would describe it....) I have been plugging away at my leaf shawl and the progress shows. The pattern is old hat now and I just knit away without too much thought and much pleasure. See how much it grows!

After cleaning the house yesterday I spent 4 hours in the sewing room and got most of my portion of the GI quilt made.......listening to an audio book series that Marsel shared with me; 1-Nory Ryan's Song 2- Maggie's Door and 3-Water Street by Patricia Reilly Giff. If you are interested to audio books I would highly recommend this author. (Each book is about 4 hours long-manageable time slots) We got a great thunderstorm in the afernoon and dropped 2/10's of rain..........a nice drink for the yard.

Bill plugged away yesterday at finding contractors to pour cement for the foundations for the

garage and the addition. We have dedicated July is the month for 'gittin' it dun!' We had quite a parade of men through here looking over the plans, they will call back with estimates soon-well that is the plan. The summer months are slow for contractors around here due to the heat and they are generally looking for work so hope to find a good price.

  3. The shawl is lovely. I'm having to suppress some twinges of envy at your progress; my stole is not going quite so fast.
