I wanted to make name tags for Mary and I for our QOV sew days. I much admit, the machine embroidery unit for my sewing machine had a lot of dust on it--it has been years since I have used it. I did take way too long to figure out how to make these but I persevered! I just need to purchase some pin-backs
so we can wear them!
I need more Mandala yarn for the granny blanket I am making so I dug this skein out of the stash to start a new one
but the color changes are too close
and didn't look as good as those long color changes!
I decided to make a C2C and it is so very nice in this DK yarn!
Nicely done on the name tags!
ReplyDeleteIt took me a minute to see Lena's paw in the first picture. The name tags are so pretty!
ReplyDeleteI'm a fan of Lion Brand. Some people seem to look down their noses at it, but I like it very much.
Cute little tags! Dad used to love to watch the embroidery machines working in the display they had at Joann’s. It would keep him out of trouble while I shopped…lol.
ReplyDeleteI’ve wondered about the shorter color changes, so thanks for answering that for me! :) It will be fun to watch the c2c colors develop. -Marsel
ReplyDeleteI'd ask if you ever sit still, but we all know the answer is not often! LOL. Love those fossil finds, how exciting!
ReplyDeleteNice name tags! I want to embroider some dish towels for the camper but since I don't have a fancy machine, I'll need to do it by hand. Ha! I like the corner to corner. The colors look great.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and hugs,
Betsy
Cute Name tags!
ReplyDeleteLove the name tags, and I also love the colors of that yarn. Your kitty is a good helper, I can tell!
