I made the binding, backing and cut the batting for the table runner so when the frame is cleared of its present quilt,
I can load this on and get it on my table!
I also enjoyed arranging and piecing two simple placemats,
and used the leftover charms and a bit of fabric
to make a matching table runner!
We also had some rowdy guests at the bird feeding station! On top over the bird feeders, we have a heavy metal pan we use to feed the crows but today, a committee of turkey vultures moved in and knocked over the pan and had quite a picnic on the spillings!
You can see the crow on the trellis to the right of the bird feeders---he was waiting his turn!
Your florals are so pretty. I really like the fabrics for your placemats - very cool!
ReplyDeleteSmall projects are helping ease back into sewing. Those naughty critters at your bird feeders! We have wild turkeys, and would occasionally jump onto the deck railing where they could reach the bird feeders. And we had to hang them all higher because the deer come through and just pull the feeders off the poles.
ReplyDeleteThe crow was smart to wait patiently.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen the black vultures that usually nest out back this year. I did like seeing their babies but I sure don't miss the mess they left behind.
ReplyDeleteThe vultures have to eat too!! LOL I always love your creations!!
ReplyDeleteLove the runner and the placemats. I would love to have a bird feeder on our balcony but Dennis doesn't like the mess they make and I'm afraid it would also mess up our downstairs neighbors patio too. So, our next camping trip, I'm going to look for some souvenir small wind chimes.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and hugs,
Betsy
It can get rowdy at my feeders from time to time, but I love that the jays almost always wait patiently and take their turn!
