Mary and I shopped for our last hurrah and enjoyed the day together! I will use the charm pack on the right for another charity quilt and the one on the left is r/w/b to supplement the QOV in the works. The fat quarters are a delightful new Moda selection that will also be used for a QOV idea! We did a good job of pacing our shopping this year and will use the same plan for next year!
We also stopped at Hobby Lobby where I bought the wooden tray for a project idea and some pin backs for our name tags. I also bought some additional floral things for Ethan's grave side bouquets. I find comfort in arranging it each month for him.
That right there is a full day!
ReplyDeleteGreat finds! I am always touched by the care I see taken on the graves of the children in the cemetery where my sister's little daughter rests in the section set aside for them. You can feel the love that transcends such a great loss by the objects the families leave behind. It's in such stark contrast to the rest of the place.
ReplyDeleteYou found some great things during your shopping expedition. It's fun to have a friend share the joy with you.
ReplyDeleteBless you for decorating for Ethan each month. I can't imagine how hard it is. I took some beautiful silk arrangements out for My parents and Dennis's parents, grandparents and his sister about six weeks ago. We were there yesterday and the arrangement have all been thrown away by the gardeners. It's so frustrating because I work so hard to find the flowers that each person loved and then they're gone. I do know that they have a hard job and can't stop and remove and put back each bouquet but it still makes me a bit sad.
I have you in my prayers my friend.
Blessings and love,
Betsy
Looks like a great shop hop!!!
ReplyDeleteAwesome purchases on the shop hop, and with a friend is the bonus. Caring for the graves of loved ones is comforting.
