A COLD SNAP

Means we need some baby hats!  This one is for a little girl at church who is 6 months old.  A perfect way to use up some Christmas yarn!  I have another partial skein I will be knitting up, too.
This is the newborn hat I was working on yesterday.  It's hard from the pics to see the size so----
here they are next to each other to compare!
The Christmas one is knit over 90 sts in sock yarn, the blue one with 66 sts in baby yarn but both on #3 needles.

I'm headed in this morning to give more blood.
It's my youngest child's birthday today so I will be calling
but not seeing him.

  1. I've got socks made from that very same Christmas yarn. That reminds me that I probably need to go give them a wash and start wearing them before the season is over.

  2. Baby hats are one of the most delightful things to make, aren't they?
Good luck with the bloodletting. (There's a sentence I never thought I'd type. . .)

  3. I love both hats. The Christmas one will be perfect for your little friend. I ordered a new Sentro knitting machine and it arrived yesterday. I realized that the one I had a couple of years ago was broken when I received it so I'm going to try again. I'll wait a day or so until I'm feeling a bit better though.
    Blessings and hugs,
    Betsy
