The azalea bush is beginning to glow with color! This bush is always the first because it gets the most sunshine!
I've been picking some carrots from my veg bed
and thoroughly enjoying them!
The bird of paradise clump on the palm tree survived the freeze! So many other plants are going to have a lot of regrowing
to do before they will bloom again.
I hope we are done with the freezing cold mornings!
I put this together yesterday; an early Mother's Day gift from my daughter and family. I will make a cement pad for it to rest on out back by our pond!
That clump of bird of paradise is amazing. I remember the first time my uncle had my boys pull up carrots when they were little. They thought it was the most amazing thing. Nice bench. Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the bench! I have a similar one by my kitchen window where I can watch the birds.
ReplyDeleteThere's no color here yet, save berries on the holly, but buds are showing up on the trees.
ReplyDeleteI was just looking over my azaleas but no sign of blooms on them yet. I'm very worried about my Camellias It looks like the extreme cold has gotten to all the buds.
ReplyDeleteThose carrots look delicious! The carrot harvest is one of my favourite parts of veg gardening!
ReplyDeleteMmmmm, I can smell and taste those carrots! Glad you can enjoy them. Fun that you got the bench put together! ❤️ -Marsel
ReplyDeleteHopefully things will be fully back to normal for you health wise. I am hoping my Mom and Sister bring the warmth with them this weekend when they head up for family events!!
ReplyDeleteHopefully things keep warming up for you! I just checked my azalea and I don't have any blooms on it yet, so I'm hoping they come soon if the weather continues to warm. Thanks so much for sharing!
ReplyDeleteYou are very far ahead of us here! Today it is finally in the fifties up from 39 last night. It'll be a while before our azaleas bloom!
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty blooms. It's still grey and brown here. No flowers, but you can smell spring in the air and the skies are blue again today.
ReplyDeleteThe bench is lovely. Are you going to make a cushion for the seat?
Blessings,
Betsy
