The Fringe tree is a little late this year
but it has been very dry so it will not be in bloom long!
This type of tree is called hysteranthous in that it flowers before the leaves form. (Like dogwood trees and redbud trees!)
This bloom is big-10-12"! And they smell delicious!
This is the last azalea bush in bloom. Usually the whole side of the driveway is in bloom but this year the bushes all took turns! Again, the lack of rain shortens our time to enjoy their color!
The clumps of amaryllis are still showing off--just impressive!
The delicate miniature wave petunias are adding a beautiful pop of color to match their big pot!
And a little more painting is happening!
You really have some amazing things popping up down there! That painting is beautiful. I've been working on a cross stitch pattern that looks similar. The sails are making me crazy so it spends a lot of time in time out.
ReplyDeleteSo much beauty in your yard! We have no blooms here for probably another month or so. It was 83 yesterday and only 43 for the high today! Thunderstorms this afternoon. Springtime in the midwest.
ReplyDeleteThat is another beautiful painting.
Blessings,
Betsy
Gorgeous, happy amaryllis.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, the spring colors are blooming beautifully! Love your painting!! Happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your beautiful blooms…I enjoyed that. The ship painting is so lovely! -Marsel
ReplyDeleteThe fringe tree is quite interesting. The yellow pompom acacia I previously posted is similar that the little blooms appear before any leaves form. Very pretty petunias -- the color of the pot certainly complements the scene.
ReplyDeleteWe are finally seeing Dogwoods blooming!! And the grass is close to needing to be cut. LOL
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flowers - and another wonderful painting!
