Looks like Granite!

I have been adding a pattern repeat or two every day and it is adding up.
I think the yarn is about half gone so I will keep knitting.
The yarn may look like granite but since this is yak/silk, it is downy soft to knit with insead!

This is knit with lace weight yarn on #6 needles in garter stitch so it is slow going but every 8 rows I bind off for the lace edge so I know I am making progress!!!

  3. Absolutely gorgeous!!! Gneiss -- that's the word I was trying to think of while you were here -- this shawl is a gneiss shawl! 😀

  4. Very pretty! That will make a nice shawl that goes with a lot of different outfits. Yak, eh? Is the yak what makes it soft or the silk?

  5. Lovely! It has an optical illusion look to it that I really like.

  6. yak-silk-blend, that's yummy! warm and cosy, but not too warm! the colour effect is nice, it looks like marbling to me:)

Thanks for taking the time to let me know you stopped by to read my blog!
