Weary Weaver

Against all odds.......
Everything that could have gone wrong did.......(tangles anyone at the start of my day)
I almost threw the loom in the front yard for a bonfire...... (when I discovered that 1/2 of the threads had to be rethreaded in their RIGHT heddles)
But I am weaving waffle weave towels!

On the way to the pool now, 11 hours of near-tears pleasure with quite a few chocolate intervals later!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. Oh dear...I hope you had lots and LOTS of chocolate handy...but the towel is gorgeous already. I love the stripes.

  3. Well, looking at that towel on the loom, I'd say it was worth it. I love the colors!!! And waffle-weave is my fave.

Swim a few laps to work off the extra chocolate. :)

  4. Love your description of "near-tears pleasure" and "chocolate intervals"!! Too true!!

Nice towel design!! I have a friend who's just returning to weaving after 20 years away from it. She is making that same kit in bright colors (reds and oranges). I haven't seen her towels yet, although I did have to make a house call because she had some threading errors, plus couldn't get a shed. (The shed problem was that the warp didn't go over the back beam. Luckily, we removed the back beam and slid it under the shed.)

Anyway, looks like those towels will be well worth the chocolate! They're a gorgeous combination!

SOME MORE BABY HATS

I added to the baby hat pile and even changed up the pattern with the finer yarn.  The one on the far left is really a pink;  I worked on it...
