Midnight

The men's midnight blue socks are finished.
It is hard to knit with a dark color!
The yarn is handspun, superwash merino/nylon.
250 yards
size 2.5mm needles over 60 stitches in plain toe-up knit with a 2 x 2 rib cuff
Size 10 1/2 men's shoe
I knit these for my son-in-law,  Bruce!

  1. It is hard to knit with dark colors. I'm even having trouble with gray these days. I love handspun socks. Those look so warm and comfy!

  2. Ugh, dark yarn.. not as much fun! Time to do something with a pretty variegated yarn to restore your sanity! :) Bruce will love them, though.

  3. They are a man's sock. LOVE THEM. I try not to knit with dark colors. It is hard on the old eyes. I do use a white or very light colored knitting needle for contrast when I have to knit with dark yarn. Lucky man

  4. Not only is it hard to knit with dark sock yarn ... that's a lot of knitting dark sock yarn for a men's size 10 1/2!
