Speaking of Time Crashing By...

I read this yesterday, Job 7:6a

"My days are swifter than a weaver's shuttle...."

Job had obviously watched a weaver to know this and apply it so aptly.

Here is a video that shows a weaver's dance........

she starts out slowly and then gets it going, just like our days.

  1. Oh my! Do oyu weave like that?

I have had a small hand loom ( I think it's a toy) since I was a child - I could never get the edges to stay straight which frustrated the perfectionist in me!

  2. And assuming that Job is the oldest book of the Bible, at least chronologically -- just imagine the millennia of weavers that have gone before you! How fun to carry on an age-old tradition...

  3. My days, too, go by swifter than a weaver's shuttle - I just wish it was WITH a weaver's shuttle rather than with spreadsheets, cookpots and scrub brushes.

  4. I love the sound of a weaving shuttle. It is such a soothing sound.
