We picked up our Amelia Island grand and having him here by himself is such a delight! He thinks it's pretty cool to have his grandparents at his every beck and call, too!
On Monday, I pieced the backing, lined up the top to match the back inset exactly and began quilting it!
I'm hoping the plan works out!
I even went to our local quilting group on Monday--
I trimmed up all of the monkey block centers
and sewed all of the HST's for the star points.
I will enjoy piecing a block every time Bill and Eli head out on a golf cart ride! It feels good to use a rotary cutter again to do the blocks!
So nice that you can craft again - comfortably!. Enjoy your grandson's visit.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you have your grandson to visit. Grandparents are so important in a childs life and yours surely know they are loved by you and Bill.
ReplyDeleteGlad the quilting is going well too. I can imagine how much fun it is to have both hands again.
Blessings,
Betsy
Those monkeys are too darn cute!
ReplyDeleteSock Monkeys were a special part of my childhood. My Mom made lots of them.
ReplyDeleteThose sock monkey blocks are just too adorable!!! My dad always wore those sock monkey socks when he was a lineman. I think of him every time I see a sock monkey.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh - I LOVED having my grandparents to myself!! My grandma let me sit in her big chair and would bring us rootbeer floats!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt 0 and the sock monkeys!! too cute!
