HOME SWEET GNOME!

Sunrise was very colorful yesterday;  this is looking out my old bedroom window, over the road, neighbors and to the river.  A nice view first thing in the morning when I woke up!
I bought Mom this kit to make gnomes back in October for her birthday;  she made four of the five and saved the fifth for me to knit-I hope to have it done in a few days!
They stand about 10' tall!  So handsome!
I also finished the hat I worked on while in flight on Tuesday-I made this one with a smaller needle for a kid's size.  I've started another and will see how it looks with a K1P1 rib.

THANKSGIVING

From the sun's rising (over crescent lake)
 to the settling of the grands...
(Abigail is missing bc she was in bed already!)

It was an amazing day of preparation yesterday.

Today, I count my blessings and give thanks to God for all parts of my life!

May you have a day fun of thankfulness, too!

Full Circle!

 As the morning breaks, I realize that today is the last day of school for Will
and I have the privilege to drive him to school which closes our full circle
 because I drove him to his first day, too!
What a year it has been.
Today is also the last day with the boys under my watch-care;
they are moving with their Dad to be closer to his work.
Through this whole ordeal of family upheaval they have lived with us or
for the last 6 months with their dad near us so Will could continue being at school and Ethan could stay with us for the day while Dad works more than an hour away.  We also picked Will up from school each day and then our son picked them up after he finished his work day.
It was hard and wonderful every day of the two plus years of this whole upheaval.
This plant is called a Bleeding Heart Vine (Cleredendrum family) here in Florida.
I think it is an appropriate plant to highlight today.
It is beautiful when you get up close.
And here is a glimpse of the pond lawn area-
the flood is receding just in time for the rainy season to begin!
We will see what happens here through the next month.
Savor this day of lasts.....

Warmth

Look at this view !
Early morning over Crescent Lake;
when it is a very chilly 44* and the water is still in the 70's!
And hot off the needles last night, one of the sunflower mitts...not blocked but still looking warm;
it might be the only one if I can't find more of the purple background color!

Got Your Back

The Malaga Tank has a back now!
The knitting is slow going but straight forward;
the gauge is fine so it takes forever to see any inches
accumulating under the needles!
I hope to have it done by this weekend!

The only good part about waking up an hour before your alarm....

Bees Early in the Morning

 The binding is finished on the hexagon quilt;  it was a good project and used up most of these two old fabrics!
 Yup, kid approved!
The bee panto was just the right touch if a bit too subtle in my thread choice!
 Early morning beauty out my studio sliding glass door.
Another early morning kind of beauty-Peppa Pig for snuggly pajama-ed boys!

A DAY AT HOME

Every other morning there is a new flower blooming on the orchid!  I do love to have an orchid in my room! My total yardage for the four ske...
