Birthday Boy! (man?)

Drove up the Matthew and Caleb's house so we could spend the day with Matthew for his birthday!
Bill and Matthew took off to try a new golf club nearby and I plopped on the couch-my new station in life!
I worked on this pair of socks.  And when the guys got home, they grilled some steak and shrimp (which the boys had caught them selves last week!) and it was ready just as Caleb got home from work!
After stuffing ourselves on our feast, we took a short drive to the beach.
I am grateful for so much......
A passerby took this for us!
We ended the day with a rousing game of cards in which Matthew lost the most-lot's of laughs.  I do love my family!

  1. Looks like a wonderful day! Wish I could have been there, too, but glad you guys had the day together.

As for man/boy...they are men, and wonderful ones to boot, but...I think we will always refer to them as "the boys"!

  2. What great pictures. Nothing like a family day together. Hard to believe how fast the years past when we look at our kids and grandchildren.
Your fireplace looks like it is going to be a winner. Bill is not idle long is he. You have done so much work on the house...Wow What a great way to document all your hard work with having the blog to look back on. The tractor has paid its way thats for sure..lol.

  3. I love your family too although obviously not in the way you do! I love the way you celebrate simply and all enjoy yourselves!

    Happy birthday Matthew!
