This might be saved from the ashes! I continued to hollow it out and sanded out the divot which just adds character, right?! I have another coat of finish and then I will be able to show a ta-da! Things do look fresher in the morning, right?!

UPS AND DOWNS
Today I will begin to arrange and stitch into rows
now that all of the reds are done, too!
On the wood working front, I was not so successful! First the bottom developed a crack and blew off the lathe. I had to do some repair work and I tried again. Another blowout. Grrrr.
When I solved that problem finally, I began hollowing out the center when a big piece went flying. I had not noticed a crack here.
I walked away. I need something easy for today!

IDEAS REALIZED
Yup, this is giving an outlet that has been needing expression for months--to work with wood more! I painted some scraps of 2 x 6's, cut out some lettering and added a bit of twine and a starfish!
Isn't it pretty?!
I'm still whipping up some amigurumi stingrays--
nice and quick projects.
I forgot to post this finished idea of felt succulents to go in this pot that I can't get anything to grow in but now I don't have to--it's attractive now without any watering! lol

MAKING SAWDUST
I like the look of the remade bowl-much cleaner lines! The bowl on the right, the black walnut one is so smooth and pleasant to hold!
I loaded the other half of the chunk of wood and I am making a banana shaped bowl from this piece of wood. It fell into shape pretty quickly; it is so nice to be able to work in a comfortable wood working area!
I have this side sanded and sealed and am ready to turn it and hollow it out today. I am glad to say, I don't have to get up and out of the house first thing this morning! It has been a week of appointments but that's over and I am glad the week is behind me!
I will piece the last star blocks and put that top together. And I want to finish the last few rows on the QOV on the frame and load up something else from the pile! It will be a good day!
