SWEETENING THE SWEETIES

The first thing I did after a slow start of the day yesterday, was to clean and do laundry, etc.  When I crashed after lunch, I played with the Yoda babies--I took their arms off and took off their collars!  Then I put the arms in a better position and did a better job of securing the collars.  Yup, they look better to me, and that is what counts!  Especially when I want to make more!  I also made a man sized hat with some yarn I found when digging for something else!  That ever happen to you?!
I even added little tags to eash of them!

I am off to the doctor's for a check-up today.
At least Bill is driving me so I can work on the sweater while we drive there and back!  I am trying to recover from the 5" I ripped out....

WORK DAY

Work day was a success;  the sky was overcast and the rain that was predicted held off all day so all the work was accomplished!  In January, we will be having another day to paint all three buildings.  Something to look forward to.  There was a large sandwich and chili lunch to the appreciation of all!
When I got home and cleaned up, I finished putting the Polar Bear Cuddly toy together and added his faux leather tag 'made with love' on the hem!   He and Teddy are getting acquainted!

ANOTHER TOY

Isn't this a cute baby toy?!  It does not look like the one on tise YouTube video but it has charm of its own! lol

First I made all of the parts and then very easily sewed it together!  It's was interesting to me to see how creatively she sewed the arms to the body/legs section!
And I added two more blocks (the bottom two)
to the stars line-up!  Now I have 2/3 of the blocks I need!

Today, I will be cutting and beginning to sew the next clue to the Long May She Wave MQAL!

Pantalones

Brunny the bunny now has pants!
Here is the process:
I measured her and entered my numbers plus seam allowance of one stitch per edge
and some wiggle room.
Then I drew it on graph paper.
From the graph paper I knew how many stitches to cast on
and how many to increase and decrease to get the right shape!
So when it was time for the photo shoot-I get Nyki!
 and Nyki....
 and Nyki...
Until I get this-Miss Cooperation!
You would think she was a model from the look in her eyes!
Oh, and the pants fit perfectly!

"I Can See!"

There's a face on Brunny and it isn't scary to me!
So often there is a creepiness to a stitched face
but I think the little smile makes all the difference!
The dress has it's two perfectly matched buttons,
the only two in the box of this color so it was a very neat find!
The dress pattern didn't include buttonholes;
there is a little chain around each button instead.
The facing is operational but the buttons are sewed to the outside
and little crochet chains make the loops to enclose the button
and close the placket.
Again, I will follow the pattern the first time
and the next time I improve upon it!
I'm working on a design for pants-her legs look cold!

Today I am home and I feel like I have so many things I want to do!
Quilts, machine knitting, painting, knitting on a sock or a dishcloth......
maybe a little of everything!
How about you?!

MORE CATS AND HATS

Ollie, the orange cat, is only 2 and very curious unlike Felix,  the 13 year old Manx.  He is much harder to for us to enjoy because he hide...
