So pleasurable to yield a tiny needle for this embroidery.
It is in an eight inch hoop for scale.
I did all of the coneflowers first, as you see.
I'm using three strands of DMC floss.
On my way to the mailbox, I took a few photos of the colorful plants that caught my eye; Beauty bush berries Date Palm fruit Magnolia tree ...
This is going to be such a pretty piece!
ReplyDeleteThe embroidery makes just the right texture for the flower centers. (A rabbit ate the tops off of all my coneflowers…I hope they come back and manage to bloom like this at some point this summer!)
