Stitch by Stitch it Grows

The little cardigan grows...I did laugh as I put the sleeve stitches on waste yarn this time-
I wanted the colors to flow down the body of the sweater first.
The problem with using the Big Color Change Cakes, no matter the brand,
is that now the sleeves will be two different colors!
Not sure that I am going to like the outcome.
Perhaps these big color cakes are better for scarves or hats....

  1. Once you're ready to knit the sleeves, divide the color changes evenly into two balls. With some luck the sleeves will match. Of course you'll have ends to weave, but the resulting sleeves will be more to your liking.

  2. I think it could just be fun! Nancy has a good idea though.

  3. I can't stand when colors aren't mirrored. So I just avoid those cakes for garments. But they do make such fun color ways they are hard to ignore!

  4. I've done that with the colors too. Sibling sleeves can be very chic.

  6. I completely understand the dilemma, hope the yarn changes work out perfectly.

  7. I guess you would have to break them up into crazy little balls to get the color to work out evenly.

But, even WITH different color sleeves, it is going to be adorable.

  8. Depending on the wearer’s personality, different-colored sleeves would either be fun or painful! Lol. Colors are pretty, regardless!
