JUST AT THE FRAME

Just look at this beauty!
I admire it every time I move through the kitchen.

Being home yesterday meant that I was able to finish the quilting on this cheerful quilt.  I will get to the binding today so it will be completely complete!

Then I loaded up the next quilt which I have to determine a design plan for it.  Sometimes it has to sit a while before I can start to stitch on the new palette!
The mail had a package from Quilts for Kids which contains two new kits to turn into quilts!  I am up to the challenge.  New quilter, Mary, also ordered two kits so we will tackle these together!

  1. The violet looks very happy! Glad to hear that Mary wants to keep quilting. :)

  2. I used to love my African Violets but my cats would eat them. My old kitties never bothered with them but this new crop eats all things green. They killed a big plant I had bought when I was 18 years old. I cried like a lost a pet. Darn cats. I tried growing indoor kitty grass for them and wouldn't you know it....the could have cared less about it.

  3. What a beautiful African Violet! My friend Carol who used to quilt (but no longer does) used to make Quilts for Kids.

  4. Lovely African Violet - I’d stop and admire it often, too.

  5. Live the violet. I still haven't found another one. The grocery stores here don't have the selection my old city did. When I go to Mom's at the end of the month, I'm going to have to stop at my favourite nursery and get some more house plants!

  6. I bought an African Violet last week that looks just like yours. I repotted it and put it in the window next to the orchid. Now lets hope I can keep the both alive. :-)
The quilts are beautiful as always. I like how you quilted the first one very much.
    Blessings,

  7. That cheerful quilt is really gorgeous. I see some fussy cutting there, like the square with the sunflower in the center. What a wonderful quilt!
