HARLEQUIN STITCH

I have longed to make this stitch for  14 years when I first saw it used to make a baby blanket.
The person making it only knew how to make this one stitch,
didn't know the name of any of the stitches
or even had a written pattern!
Nonetheless, I was hooked and I found it on YouTube
and was able to add several rows to this sampler blanket.
I thoroughly enjoyed learning how to make it, finally!

  3. I have seen that pattern, my Grandma used to do it all of the time. She also made blankets with lots of bobbles on them. But I never knew what the stitch was called. Your's looks beautiful.

  5. Nice stitch pattern: it would make a great blanket or scarf.

I cleaned the wood shop area;  the tools and the floor, etc so that I could begin work on that burl we acquired a few weeks ago!  It felt so...
