A CHRISTMAS TREE TALE

This ceramic tree I made in 1976 when I took classes with my Mom!
(I was pregnant with my first at the time, too)
If you remember, the tree was knocked down last year
and broke in many pieces but I glued it back together
because I couldn't bear to see it go!!!!
And now it is sitting on the new desk shelf to brighten my room!

  1. I’m so glad you rescued it! I’m not super sentimental about most things anymore, but that is a special one…❤️ -Marsel

  2. My mom and grandmother each made one of those. I loved them. Someone got them but it wasn't me.

  3. I'm so glad you were able to glue it together. Some things just can't be replaced. Dennis's Mom and I took ceramic classes together for several years back in the 70's and she made a tree just like this. Unfortunately when we moved her from the house, it had disappeared somewhere. It would have been perfect for her apartment.
    Blessings and hugs,

  4. My grandparents had one - I think they gave it to one of my cousins a few years ago. I can tell you, they go for quite a lot of money in thrift stores now.

There's a ceramic painting place in Sarnia that has them so this generation can make them too!
