WELCOME TO NOVEMBER!

Nothing like starting out the month with chilly morning temperatures!  It was 51* but it did warm up to 73* but such a drop is hard to bear with our thin southern blood!  Several of these little mitts are necessary and will keep the arthritis pains at bay!  This particular pair is for a friend but it requires such a small amount to make them, I have plenty for another pair for myself!  It is knit on #3 needles this time with Capretta yarn, a superwash Merino and Cashmere blend.  Luscious as well as warm!

  1. Yikes! That is a chilly temp for FL...it was 46 here this a.m. when I got up and I put the heat on!

  2. That is a gorgeous color! I love my mitts and have been wearing them for a month or so now. I had a bit of consternation because I couldn’t find one of my best pairs for the first few weeks…then I found it in a very organized place with all of my other cold-weather accessories. Phew! (I’m not sure why I find it so difficult to find things whenever I put them in a new, smart place so I won’t forget where they are! Haha) :)

  3. Those are really nice mitts and would keep the hands toasty warm for sure. Maybe they would help my arthritis too.
It was 29F here this morning but is supposed to warm into the high 40's so it will feel better then. I want to take a walk with Zoey but her new shirts won't be here until hopefully tomorrow. I ordered them a month ago from Amazon and they had to come, literally, from China. She's probably outgrown them by now. :-)
    Blessings,

  4. Love your mitts and so will your friend. It’s snowing again this morning. I dread snow, but it’s so pretty as it delicately falls.

  5. My Dad was complaining about his arthritis this week - I wonder if a pair would help him.

  6. That grey is lovely and will go with everything.

We might get frost tonight! It's been fairly cool, but frost??? Not sure I'm ready for that. LOL

  7. It's hard to believe it's cooler where you are than it is up here. I thought I was going to have a heat stroke at the Halloween parade yesterday. It is cooler today but still too warm for my liking. This summer just doesn't want to end. I guess I'll be going right from the complaining about summer thing to the complaining about winter thing this year...lol.

WOOD WORKS

I cleaned the wood shop area;  the tools and the floor, etc so that I could begin work on that burl we acquired a few weeks ago!  It felt so...
