I pulled the Steam Punk quilt off the frame, trimmed it up and flipped it over to sew the binding on and saw this!
Two rows of bobbin problems!
These loops are called eye lashes-not what you want to see!
So what I am doing is drawing the quilting lines on the front of the quilt and then I can pick all of the stitches out. The good news is that stitch removal is pretty easy when the bobbin is so loopy! It's all part of the process.
Oh no! Glad it Is easily solved, even if it’s not quite the “ta-da” moment you were expecting… -Marsel
ReplyDeleteBeen there, done that. I oddly like to pick out stitches which is a good thing because I'm always having to do it...lol.
ReplyDeleteI like the pattern you chose to quilt it with but really sorry about the eyelashes. They look kind of pretty and appropriate for the steampunk look but I understand that the stitches aren't tight enough. Have fun picking.

Yikes! So sorry to hear this as it looks like there were a whole lot of them. It was interesting to hear the term "eyelashes" as I'd not heard it before.
ReplyDeletethat's always frustrating when you think you've got something done!
