BLUE SKIES, BLUE WAVES

We were in St Augustine yesterday for an appointment for Bill and when we arrived, the receptionist informed us that the doctor (surgeon) had an emergency and would be back in office in a few hours!  So we decided to do our errands first and when we finally finished with the Dr later, we decided to visit the ocean!
The beauty was very good therapy!

This is along the inter-coastal waterway.
Just a cottage that appeals to me with the ocean in the back yard!
Oh, and we might've stopped for a delicious cone, too!
Lena was very glad to welcome my lap home and curled up for several hours--I was just as pleased with the rest!

  1. What beautiful scenery! Wouldn't you love to have a house like that on the water? I can dream. I'd settle for a cottage on the bay but even that is out of reach for folks like us....lol.

  2. I like the idea of beach and exploring better than Dr's!! And what a cottage - it looks amazing!

  3. That sounds like a fun time, minus the Dr. visit. That "cottage". Right! We would both love to live near the ocean, even driving distance would be wonderful. We miss the mountains and the ocean only an 8 hour drive away. We do plan to go to the Oregon coast in July after our Spokane visit.
Lena looks very happy to have her people home. Aren't our pets great therapy?
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  4. I think I remember going to St. Augustine when I was little. It was certainly WAY before Cone Heads!

  5. Good Morning! I am a new visitor here, and I came by way of Betsy at "Simple Life of a Queen". She mentioned on a comment on my blog ("Closed Doors, Open Windows") that if she ever came to Florida she would love to meet up with me and also you, since you also live in Florida. So I came over here to see just where you might be from, and see that you must be somewhere near me if you went to St. Augustine to the Dr.! We live over in Putnam County, in the tiny little town of Interlachen...which is west of Palatka, so we are not very far from the St. Augustine area either! Although I am not into quilting and weaving, etc. myself, I love to see what other talented people can do and appreciate the talent and work that goes into such beautiful projects. You certainly do beautiful work. I would also love to see what you do with that burl! Woodworking is more up our family's alley. So anyway, I look forward to getting better acquainted here in our blogs, and who knows? Perhaps we will meet someday! It's always fun to meet other blogging friends in person, as you will see on my latest post! Have a lovely day!

COLD FOR CHRISTMAS!

Yup, a cold snap already which I hate for my flowers' sakes  but the fire sure makes a good consolation!
