Always Time for Your Sons

My sons don't ask me to sew very often for them but I have this idea that to have a home , you need these essentials and they are kind enough to let me sew for them!  This is for their fireplace mantle.

Tassels!  Just enough color and glitz to finish the pointsand at 10" x 96" it will just drop off the ends of the mantle and add a bit of Mama-love to their fireplace.

I sent out all my Christmas cards......finished decorating the tree and had a nice day.  A lapful of cats and knitting in the evening closed out my day.

  2. It turned out great -- so pretty! I love the holly quilting design.

I see that Nyki is still on the hunt for ornaments!

  3. Beautiful for the mantel!
And now I remember why I was having trouble deciding between a wreath and a tree this year: kitty.

  4. Your mantel runner is lovely.

I love the cat working on the tree! He/she must have thought you needed a little feline help! Cute!

    Happy holidays!

  5. Beautiful mantle runners!! And that's great that your son asked for something you made! I'm related to lots of guys and it's really hard to picture them enjoying many of the things I make.

I went for a while without spam, then got it and had to add word verification back too. Ugh! (No spam since I added it back though.)

  8. lucky you, your cards are out! I didn't write a single one yet, only the envelopes with addresses:(( every year I think I should cut down, and the next year I do them all over again, because I can't bring myself to not send them:)) nice runner though - I don't have space on the mantle, but I do like the narrow bandlike runners on the dinner table!
