Under Construction

I pulled all of the blocks (lanterns) I had made last year
and decided today was the day to put the all together!
I arranged them on my bed in their general positions,
and began to crochet them in rows.
The interesting twist to their construction is that the row of single crochet is done on the wrong side,
as in 'right sides together' when you are seaming.
This results in a beautifully even row of 'stitches' on the right side which looks very delicate!
After I did a few rows, I placed all of the pieces into piles so that I could go to sleep
yet keep things ordered for another day of stitching!
Now if only the cats respect the piles!

  2. Oh my! That will be beautiful (it already is). Such pretty colors. All that seaming would drive me bonkers though!

  3. You'll have to let us know how that goes. Giroux has been into EVERYTHING lately. EVERYTHING must go in the cupboard or he runs off with parts. LOL

That blanket is going to be lovely with that perfect green border.

  4. I bought that same pattern and did about three rows before I absolutely hated the colors I had chosen. I need to try again with a different color pallette because yours is stunning. I hope your kitties stayed out and respected the piles. HA!
