SOCKS ON SUNDAY

Signs of December are showing up in the yard;
 I will include one a day all week!
 This is a poinsettia we have managed to keep alive
 since last year!
The red is just beginning to emerge as a 'flower'!
And the watermelon socks are completed!
 These were a very enjoyable knit--I have new socks on the needles already, I am glad to say!

  1. I was so surprised when I read that the "flower" of the poinsettia are really just leaves that turn color. They are beautiful though. The watermelon socks are beautiful. Gotta love the plain vanilla sock pattern sometimes and letting the yarn do all of the work.
    Blessings,

  2. I managed to keep a potted poinsettia going from Christmas last year to Hallowe'en this year. All of a sudden it just up and died on me... I don't know what happened.

  3. I've never had any luck keeping a poinsettia alive even though I've given it a good try several times. To see them growing outside like that is just awesome.
    The socks are fabulous! I can't believe I don't have a single pair on the needles at the moment. That usually throws me into a tizzy but for some reason I'm okay with it.
