THE WRONG TURKEY

We have a different kind of turkey visiting us today!  I've never seen them inspecting the dropped seeds under the bird feeders!  It made me think of  Araignee's friendly vulture!
I did a lot of cleaning (floors mostly because living on sand, there is a lot carried in by man and beast!) and resting in turn yesterday so I was ready to do the kitchen duty baking today.
I did make these small bowl Koozies to give my guests on Thanksgiving.  I like them for holding my ice cream dish
so I don't get cold hands while eating
and I thought others would like these, too!
They are a nice size for small bowls!
I hope you are having a good time preparing for tomorrow's feasting with friends and family.

  2. After my vultures brought me two babies this year they all disappeared. I hate to admit it but I miss them even though the last time one them was here they poked a hole in my screen door and tried to get into the kitchen. That's a bit too friendly for me!

  3. I just finished writing my "to do" list for the day. Lots on it but most important is going to the airport to get the kids and baby J! Those bowl cozies are sure cute. I should look for a pattern for them as they would be quite handy for both soup and ice cream. :-)
    Blessings,

  4. Your floor cleaning comment made me laugh - ever since I put mulch down on the catio paths it's been a never ending cleaning of mulch bits in the house. I'm hoping come spring I can change the paths over to some sort of stone... still - the mulch is better than mud, which was what we had before!
